Today my DD little girl, my granddaughter, is sick. They can't go outside and play - it's rainy anyway - but it's hard for two such active people to be stuck inside on a Spring day. I know because I ate my lunch outside today and enjoyed the breeze.
I hate it when my DD or her DD is sick. I wish I could be with them. I could entertain the little one and perhaps give my DD time to straighten things, or read, or do whatever she liked. I hope someday they will live closer to me and I won't have to work outside my house anymore so that we can spend lots more time together. I know my son-in-law probably doesn't want his MIL around too much, so I would promise that my visits would not intefere with family time or Mother and Daughter time. That is such a special relationship and I so enjoyed my daughter when she was Katharine's age. I have always enjoyed her love, friendship, and company, and now I have the added treat of having her four-year-old to love.
I think this Epizootie Episode will be short. My Doodlebug will most likely be feeling like her old self by tomorrow and she and her mom and dad will have a great weekend. As for me, I will be making beautiful, fabulous, anyone-would-want-to-wear-them bracelets! I have a new "formula" that I think will appeal to lots of folks. I just need a marketing plan and a marketing venue. Till then, I work at this job where I can sneak in a little personal time - like now! But better get back to the grindstone. Love to my DD and her DD (my Doodlebug) and well wishes to them both along with all my love, hugs and kisses!

My First Post
The most important title I’ve ever had in my life is “Mother.” The title of “Grandmother” is so close in my heart, it’s hard to relegate it to second place. I suppose, however, simply for the sake of birth order and my expanding age, I must. In my own life, “grandmothers” were somewhat elusive personages. Manners, politeness, being seen and not heard, were the orders of the day. To my own Darling Doodlebug I want to be a faithful friend, a trusted confident, a playmate with car keys who can swim pretty well, and, to her mother’s dismay, an occasional partner in crime. I also want to be a guide, when asked, to some of life’s mysteries, and a teacher to the crafts and facts that I’ve learned in my own travels and travails.post.
That's all for a beginning. I will write more, believe me. Till then, I remain faithfully, Katharine’s Grandmother.
